Blossom gets to go outside on a leash....

Mom bought a harness and leash for us kitties. Perfy and I aren't really interested in the outside-especially since it's been over 10 years since we were outside kitties, but silly Blossom was recently an outside kitty before Mom adopted her. So mom bought her a harness and occasionally takes her outside with outside with our dog, Velcro. Blossom doesn't like the harness-but mom tells her that it is the only way she'll go outside! It's funny when she does go out, she rolls around and crouches low to the ground..silly girl!

I got to play on mom's bed this morning with my ball and a toy! That silly girl, Blossom, decided to disturb my play time! But mom stopped her and I started playing again!!! Play time is the best!!

Accupuncture!

I just finished accupuncture! My petsitter told mom I did great! Of course I did great!!! I've been pooping everyday and mom thinks I'm not gimping around as much! So she thinks the accupuncture is helping me! I'm not too bothered by the needles-i just sit there! But remember, I get insulin twice a day, so I'm kinda used to being poked with a sharp object!

It's kinda neat, my vet puts the needles in and times them-usually 10 minute increments! The needles work themselves out-some faster than others. My vet thinks that the areas that really need the accupuncture are the areas where the needles stay in the longest. It's like my body is telling the needles-that's enough! I have another appt next thursday!! I wish every kitty that had aches and pains could get kitty accupuncture!!

My frog!

Mom is home from work and it's time to get in our night night spots! Mine is right beside mom, on my own temperpedic pillow with my frog! I'm right beside mom's head-so she can reach out and rub my head!! Now it's time to sleep! I must get my rest for my kitty accupuncture appointment tomorrow!

Where's mom?

We're in mom's bathroom waiting for her!! Our petsitter came to see us and gave Kodak his insulin but where is mom?? We think she's at her stupid hooman job!!! We'll be waiting for you mom!

HOT

It was way too hot in southern california this weekend! We had mom all to ourselves on saturday since she didn't get home until 3am. Sometimes it's nice when mom works late because she lounges around all day and we have a place to sleep-her chest!!

Kodak had his second accupuncture appointment. Mom thinks it's helping him! He's pooped everyday and mom thinks he's walking a bit easier. He already has his next two accupuncture appointments set! We think mom is a fan of feline accupuncture!!

That girl!

That girl. Blossom, is ALL over the place! Mom bought us a new door climber-and Blossom LOVES it! But she also likes paper bags, pizza boxes-anything that makes noise! Mom and her hooman had a very busy easter weekend. But we had lots of tummies and shoulders to lounge on...and extra kisses!

I go to accupuncture again on thursday. My petsitter will be taking me since mom will be working. I've pooped 2 days in a row this weekend!

Kodak had accupuncture

Mom took today off-her hooman is coming into town and she also wanted to take Kodak to his first kitty accupuncture session. He came back, he hasn't meowed or anything so obviously he wasn't too bothered by it! He got 9 needles for his first session. One in his head, for relaxation, 4 around his lower back, 1 in each hind leg and 1 in each front leg. Each needle was for a different area: bladder, large intestines, stomach. SOme of the needles came out on their own after about 10 minutes-the needles in his back stayed in the longest. They were for his large intestines and mom thinks his arthritis.

Mom was pretty excited about his first accupuncture session. So much that she has set up another one for next thursday. But she wont be able to go, it will be our petsitter that takes him. The vet told mom to watch Kodak this week-his bowels, his mobility etc....so mom is going to start a chart of his poop and how he's walking.

Kodak pooped 2 poop balls this morning-but it wasn't what mom was hoping for after the lactulose! So she called the vet this morning to tell her about Kodak's poops-and she wasn't too happy.She said it was enema time and wanted kodak in as soon as possible...but YIKES mom is at work in Hollywood and we're at home, 40 miles away. And today we had a "standin petsitter" since our beloved Sylvia is on vacation! But mom got it all working and at 1230 Kodak was at the vet and about 15 minutes later he had "a few enemas" and then VOILA.... An empty intestine!

Kodak will now be having accupuncture treatment that covers his disc and constipation! Mom is to give him lactulose everyday...and we hope he doesn't have to have that done again!

But we don't think he's too bothered by it. He's sleeping with mom!!

No Poop!

Kodak did not poop today! mom gave him his lactulose twice today but nothing! She even went out and bought him pumpkin-he didn't like it so mom rubbed it on his mouth! No Poop!!! Mom isn't very happy!
