On Wednesday kodak had his ultrasound. I talked to my vet around 5pm last nite and the news is not good. The ultrasound shows results that are highly suspicious for cancer, lymphoma.
Kodak has a mass in his stomach, in one of his kidneys and his lymph nodes are enlarged. The ultrasound doctor aspirated his kidney and I will get those results by Friday but I know it's lymphoma. He has lost 2 pounds in 2 months an had actually lost a few ounces from Monday.
My boy is 15.5 years old. He's diabetic and now has cancer. He has been with my longer than I was married! He has always been a part of my life since living in California. He sleeps by my head and is the most amazing cat I have ever had! He has been there for me through all the bad times and good times! And now I have to take care of him.
I have been crying since yesterday! I went home last nite, drank wine, cried and snuggled with Kodak.
I love my boy, Kodak. I will do anything I can for him now!

Oh, no, no, we are so terribly sorry to read this. We wish we could offer real comfort, but the best we can do is send purrs and purrayers.
The mom had adopted angel Annie (and Chumley) after her divorce, back in 2001, and they both were with her through so much difficulty, depression, suicidal thoughts, etc. So while our mom's not had any of us in her life for as long as you've had Kodak in yours, she does understand the kind of bond you can have and the utter and complete despair and grief when have to let go.
Please know our hearts are with you and we wish that Kodak has *quality* of life for however long he is meant to stay with you. we purray it's somehow will be for a long time yet, but we know prayers aren't always answered the way we want them to be.

We are so sorry to hear this news and our hearts go out to you. We know you will take special care of Kodak while he is still happy and not too unwell. Just spoil him like crazy while he can enjoy it. We know you will not let him suffer.
