Happy Birthday Mom.

We wanted to wish mom a very Happy Birthday. Unfortunately her birthday now falls on a very sad day for this country....but we wanted her to know we think she's special to us! Mom always thinks of the people who lost their lives on this day, and always will. Happy Birthday mom

Mom is still busy working...but she still loves us!

We thought mom's schedule would free up when she finished working on her tv show Mad Men but it hasn't. She's still working as much as she was! Of course mom was out of town this past weekend-she got back late sunday night and we were very happy! We enjoyed our Uncle taking care of us though!! He fed us and took really good care of us! Mom was off on monday-so she stayed home until she took that "dog" sheep herding-of course we were then left in the house alone without the dog!!! Today, mom went to work, again! Luckily she was home early today so she snuggled with us and gave Winton his fluids. Winton growled a bit today as she was trying to settle him down, but once he was on the counter and mom had the needle in he was good! We never like to hear him growl or cry....but we think he knows that the fluids help him!!

Mom will be out of town...

Mom is leaving to take her bean on a college trip today. She doesn't like leaving us, but at least our uncle will be here to feed us, clean out our litter boxes and give us all our meds! Mom will help us post when she gets back!

R.I.P Texas. You will be missed!

A tuesday after our long weekend....

Mom spent most of the day home today! She didn't go into work until 1pm! So we had a nice morning! The sub Q's didn't go well today-sometimes mom has issues with the needles-the fluids leak onto Winton's back...of course it might not help that it's only mom doing this and Winton isn't happy to have a needle stuck in his back...mom says she's going to try again tomorrow!! We all come into the bathroom when Winton gets his fluids-Blossom has to be shooed away because she can be a bit of a pest! Winton was just pawing at mom while I was in her lap at the computer. I bet he's ready for snuggle time and love! 3 Perf is sleeping in his chair and that silly Blossom just swatted at me!! Silly girl!

Our mom would like to say a few words.....

Thank you every kitty and human for such kind words about my Winton! I can't express how I feel to get so many comments and good wishes!! He's such a good boy and I hate to see renal failure slowly take his life! It sucks! I've watched him lose lots of weight and hover around his water bowl! It makes me sad but he's still happy! And I love him dearly! I know I will lose him to this horrible disease! And I've been doing everything I can! Giving him the proper food, giving him fluids, his blood pressure medication, his pepcid ac at night but nothing can stop this! When he was first diagnosed, 5 years ago, I was supposed to go to Hawaii for Thanksgiving-I cancelled because I had no idea what I was dealing with and was so devastated. I scoured the internet about CRF, joined the Yahoo groups did everything. And he has surprised me and everyone with his resilience and stubbornness to not let this disease take him away soon! But something has changed lately. He sleeps near his water bowl during the day. All I want to do is make him better but I can't! I feel helpless! I know my babies wont live forever! Kodak is diabetic, I'm sure as the others get older they too will develop something! It sucks!

I guess I just wanted to say thanks! Thanks for such kind words! You guys are amazing!!!!!

Mom of course took pictures today-she's on a 3 day holiday weekend! Yippee! And then come wednesday she's finished with her tv show that she's been working on, Mad Men. Maybe that means we'll see more of her!! We hope every kitty out there has a wonderful holiday with hteir beans!!

Winton....

Mom took her camera out again! We don't know why she constantly is taking pics of us! She's taking alot of pictures of Winton lately....we think it's because he's not feeling 100% because of his renal failure! Winton got his fluids again today! Mom is giving it to him on the weekends while she is working-I think when she is finished with her job(in a week) she'll try him on twice a week fluids! Mom thinks he peed on the guest bed and on the dog bed yesterday-she's a bit concerned that his kidneys might be giving out.....mom cried today holding Winton-she knows that the kidney failure is ravaging his body and that he won't survive it but she doesn't want him to be in any pain! He still eats and sleeps with mom, but he is always around his water bowl....we think mom is worried about him!! We're trying to make her smile-and Blossom is doing a really good job of that! She races around the house like a dervish!!! But mom loves us all!!! We love you mom! Remember, we are in a much happier place than all of us would have been had you not rescued all of us! We love you mom!!

Wordless Wednesday!

Blossom has made herself at home!

Yes Blossom has made herself at home! She sleeps on the comfy beds, pounces on all of us but me! And races around the house like a dervish! She's already broken two glasses today! Mom wasn't too happy about that since she's at home sick-but she's happy the little girl is fitting into the household!!

We're kinda happy mom is home sick. She's in bed or on the couch so I've had snuggle time!!

Introducing Blossom!

Mom has finally decided on a name for the little girl, Blossom. We think it kinda fits because she has blossomed into a spitfire!! But we like her. Her nickname is Delores Del Rio. A name given to her by mom's friend...but Blossom it is! please welcome Blossom into our kitty family!

Mom has been super busy working 14 hour days so she's been a bit of a slacker letting us get online. She works on her job, Mad Men, until the beginning of September then she'll have more time for us!!! We'll be back to daily blogging land soon!!

That girl hogs the cool spots!

That silly girl hogs all the cool spots! She has found lying in front of the fan is a nice spot-so she is there all the time!!! It might also be because it's up high away from our dog!!!

Mom still hasn't named her yet-she's narrowing names down but hasn't decided on anything yet! She had better hurry up!

The weekend is almost over

Mom has been home all weekend-well she got home from work at 5am on saturday-so we were good kitties and let her sleep until 12:30....she fed us before she headed off to bed which is why we were so amiable to her sleeping! That little girl kitty still doesn't have a name yet. Mom is trying to find the right name for her...but it's hard. I'm sure she'll come up with a name soon.

Winton got his Sub Q's today. About 100ml. He was GREAT! Mom and grandpa did it-and he hardly complained. Mom was wondering why it was so easy! I think it's making Winton feel better!! Of course mom hasn't tried it alone! And grandpa goes out of town for a few weeks this week-mom might be having a harder time next weekend!

All in all it was a nice weekend with mom. She didn't do much but that's alright with us kitties!
